感恩

Till date, I have been with StarHub for 71 months and I am glad to say that I have been blessed with amazing colleagues.

Started off with the Teen Titans in 2010, it was a bunch of kids who just finished their A level. I was 22 at that point in time. Lots of activities after work, bowling, KTV, badminton. The youth in them made me feel younger.

Moving on to 2011 to 2014, social team and technical team. I went back to mixing around people around my age. With that, it was always drinking, poker and mahjong. Those activities helped me tide thru the dark days of having to work in the day and going to school at night during 2011 to 2012. Major stress relievers.

2014 June, I took a leap and made a transfer over to Marketing. Took on the role of Community Manager together with Howard. No fancy lunch, no out of the world or crazy activities. But there was non-stop knowledge transfer and sharing. I have to admit that I really learnt mega lot about social during those days with Darren. He is the guru and I'm honour to be able to learn from him.

May 2015, I decided to venture out of comfort zone and joined an ecommerce startup. Back to young folks again as my colleagues just came out uni not too long ago while I was like 27 years old. They are a bunch of crazy folks who work hard and party even harder. Can't really keep up with the pace and thus I took a 4 months break after my short 5-month stint with Lazada.

Feb 2016, back to GREENland again. This time round, took another leap of faith and went to do marketing instead of social media. Plus, it is a product that I seldom touch during my previous 55 months. Something that cater more to foreign workers and tourists. I have to say that the prepaid team is the MOST MOST MOST enjoyable team I have worked with. They made made my work easier. Great companions for both work and leisure. When problems arise, you can see the team coming together to resolve it. 有感動到. I simply love the feeling of people coming together and contribute towards a common goal. Plus, I have a boss who is willing to share her knowledge and experience; giving me the room to do things and make decision on my own. She doesn't micromanage at all. From day 1, she has been saying that we are a team,  she see me more like a team mate, a partner than her subordinate. Really thankful for having the opportunity to go back to a familiar place and having such wonderful team and boss.
